About APJ Action

Founded in 2025, MUNA APJ Action is a 501(c)(4) organization committed to amplifying the voices of American Muslims through grassroots advocacy, civic engagement, and political participation. We advance issue-based advocacy and influence policy while also endorsing candidates at the local, state, and federal levels. To help elect these candidates, we mobilize our communities through voter registration, get-out-the-vote (GOTV) campaigns, and targeted fundraising initiatives.

Advocate for human rights–centered foreign policy.
Push for ending U.S. support of oppressive regimes and occupations.
Promote policies that align with peace, justice, and humanitarian values abroad.

Voting Rights & Political Empowerment

Fight against voter suppression laws that disproportionately affect minorities.
Expand voter registration, access to early voting, and multilingual ballots.
Mobilize Muslims to increase voter turnout in local, state, and federal elections.

Criminal Justice Reform

Work to end mass incarceration and discriminatory policing.
Advocate for sentencing reform and restorative justice programs.
Support policies that dismantle systemic inequities in the justice system.

Climate Justice & Environmental Stewardship

Highlight the disproportionate impact of climate change on marginalized communities.
Support policies for renewable energy, clean air, and safe water.
Mobilize faith-based communities around environmental responsibility.

Education Reform & Affordability

Make higher education more affordable through debt relief, grants, and scholarships.
Cut wasteful spending in K–12 to direct resources to classrooms and teachers.
Ensure equitable access to quality education for underserved communities.
